Day 35-37

Once again I've fallen behind on my updates. I've been keeping busy up here in Noosa heads, it is a beautiful tropical climate that is sunny most of the time with a few occasional rain showers. On Monday Brain, Liz, Annika, Maike, Suvi and myself drove/hiked to the top of Mount Tinbeerwahand and watched the sunset. Tuesday night we went over to Chef Michael's house for a little BBQ and we had enough food to feed an army. Wednesday was a really busy day, in the morning I went to the Eumundi markets and checked out the local crafts and goods. When I got back from the market I went surfing with Brian, Kevin and Kristen at Tea Trees. Tea Trees is located in a beautiful national park, so when you are out in the line up you forget about civilization. When I was out in the line up I saw a large sting ray (about 3-4 feet wide) jump clear out of the water 50 feet away from me and all I could think about was I hope I don't end up like Steve Irwin. After we were done surfing I went on a hike through the park to watch another beautiful sunset here in Noosa. On the hike I had the privilege of seeing my first Koala bear in it's natural habitat. While it was great to see the Koala, but to be honest they don't do much. After all that I went back to the hostel and made my first Kangaroo burger, it taste like beef only a little gamier. I am looking forward to my last couple of days here in Noosa.
Pictures to follow.
