1st day

I barely was able to sleep last night, when my alarm went off at 3:50 am I was able to jump right out of bed. I got to the airport to discover that I am allowed to check two bags for free on all my flights throughout my trip because I am flying internationally. (As a tip for the future if anyone is going to travel to multiple cities either foreign, domestic or both book a multi-city trip. With the multi-city trip the total ticket price is a lot cheaper and you can get other discounts as well.)

My flight to LA was nearly empty with only 29 of 181 seats occupied, needless to say I had my own row on the plane. Since there were so few people on the plane the flight attendants even had champagne leftover from first class that they were able to offer it to business class and coach. That being said it was a great start to my trip having a glass of champagne at 6:15 am. After sitting in the terminal for a three and a half  hour layover, I had clear skies to observe the channel islands on my 30 minute flight to Santa Barbara.

Should be a great week in SB, I will be sure to report the many stories to come.
